ST. MATTHEWS, S.C. (AP) - Family and friends have identified the two men killed in the fiery crash of a biplane in central South Carolina.
Multiple media outlets reported Wednesday that 47-year-old pilot Rusty Shannon and his friend and passenger Carl "Bucky" Sinnott died in the crash in some woods in Calhoun County Monday evening.
Shannon owned a heating and air conditioning firm in West Columbia. Sinnott was a farm operator in Calhoun County in his thirties.
Coroner Donnie Porth says the results of autopsies were expected Wednesday.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
