Heavy rains that caused damaging floods throughout Oconee County have caused the Oconee County School District to alter its transportations plans on Monday morning.
Oconee County School District Public Relations specialist Kay Powell tells News Channel 7 that school buses will be operating ona two hour delay Monday morning. However, all schools will open at regular time, but late arriving students will be excused.
Rain, fallen trees and power lines caused roads throughout the county to be shut down or closed as workers continue to work throughout the night to clean up debris from Sunday's heavy rains.
