One person has been injured as a result of a wreck Tuesday night in Anderson County.
The wreck happened just after 8 pm at the intersections of Highway 29 and Highway 8. Our crew on scene says that the driver of a four door Toyota sedan appears to have attempted to exit off of Highway 8 and onto Highway 29 when the car was struck in the driver's side by an 18-wheeler traveling westbound.
The driver of the car had to be transported by ambulance to Greenville Memorial Hospital. His name and condition were not immediately known.
Our crew reports that traffic at the intersection, a main traffic artery, was moving slowly. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
