Investigators with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Harley Edwards Saturday and charged him with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in the stabbing death of James Eric Campbell. Edwards in in the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
September 23, 2009**
On 9/23/2009, deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault at 243 Sherwood Drive in Belton, S.C. Upon arrival, deputies found James Eric Campbell at the location with a stab wound to the torso. Campbell was transported to AnMed Health where he died as a result of this injury.
Through a diligent investigation, Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to identify Harley Edwards, 29, of 1312 Johns Avenue, Belton, as the suspect. Arrest warrants have been issued for Edwards charging him with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
