A South Carolina Department of Mental Health employee was arrested and accused of sexually abusing a patient at the McKinney House in Mauldin Wednesday, according to a release from SLED.
SLED officials stated in the release John Levey Bundor, 53, is charged with criminal sexual conduct and abuse of a vulnerable adult in the Aug. 2009 incident.
The Fountain Inn man was a caregiver at the facility while the mentally disabled victim was a patient, the release states.
A Department of Mental Health spokesperson said Bunder was put on leave at the time the allegations surfaced. He will stay on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The allegations came from a Vulnerable Adult Hot-Line call SLED received when the incident occurred.
