The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman after she allegedly pointed a gun at a man and demanded he apologize.
Our coverage partners at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal report that 57-year old Cathy L. George, of Campobello, was arrested Friday and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and pointing and presenting a firearm.
The newspaper says that George is accused of pointing a pistol at a 26-year old acquaintance and hitting him in the head with the gun during a disturbance Tuesday at a residence in Landrum. The Herald-Journal cites an incident report that states George was angry at the 26-year old man about the way he talked to her daughter, and she told him to get down on her knees and apologize at gunpoint. The victim told police that he did apologize and was later struck in the head with the gun by George.
