This, after the campus police chief say the students mother alerted police that her son, Lawson Boling, was upset about academic issues and they should intercept her son.

Officers stopped Boling when he arrived on campus. Boling told officers he had a weapon.

When his car was searched, they found two guns in the trunk of his car. According to warrants obtained by News Channel 7, those guns were a Tauras 40 Caliber handgun and a M-11 9mm semi-automatic weapon.

Boling is charged with unlawful weapon on school property.

During the investigation and arrest, Brashier Middle College was locked down as a precaution. Operations returned to normal after the arrest.
