Just as another school year begins, Clemson University police have a warning for students: beware of suspicious activity on campus.
The warning comes after three female students reported being followed by a strange man, in separate incidents last week. In two of the cases, the students told police the suspect was in a red or maroon truck.
"We just want to remind students to be cautious," says police Chief Johnson Link. "Clemson has a safe campus."
The University sent an email alert out to students, notifying them of the incidents. In all cases, Link says the females did the right thing, by getting to a safe place and calling police.
"It is a big campus, and sometimes we attract people we'd rather not," says Link.
