GREENVILLE, SC - The man charged with tearing up a cemetery has pleaded guilty to charges related to the incident.
Greenville Police said Dablin Humerez was drunk when he drove through the Christ Church Cemetery in April 2009.
The accident damaged tombstones that can't be replaced. Police say he tried to run from the scene.
Humerez pled guilty to the following charges:
Habitual traffic offender
Driving under influence 1st offense
Driving under suspension 3rd or subsequent offense
He was sentenced to five years in prison, reduced to 90 days suspended and 3 years probation.
