February 3, 2010 Update:
Jury is underway for former Union County Supervisor Donnie Betenbaugh. He faces extortion and money laundering charges.
Investigators said he also allowed drugs to be stored and sold in the county tax assessor's office.

January 22 Update:
Union County's former supervisor had four charges removed from his trial set to start next month but he could face them in the future.
Donnie Betenbaugh was facing a 40 count federal indictment but a judge approved a motion to remove four counts that alleged drug activity when he was the supervisor for the county.
Betenbaugh is still accused of extortion and money laundering during part of a federal investigation of corruption in Union County.
