The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating several cases involving the malicious damage of cars and mailboxes in a local neighborhood.

On Saturday February 6, 2010 around 7:00 am the Sheriff's Office received a call at 708 Windward Way. Deputies arrived to find a mailbox with an attached pole had been thrown through the rear windshield of the car. Deputies were able to locate an address from the mailbox that led them to the owner's home.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that several other cars and mailboxes had been damaged on other area streets. The Sheriff's Office has since made contact with the owners of the damaged cars and mailboxes. The damage is estimated over $10,000 in total damage.
The Malicious Damage occurred on Windward Way, Crosswinds Street, Bransfield Drive, Hedgewood Terrace, and W. Silverleaf Street.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone having information to contact Crime Stoppers at 23-Crime.
