MARCH 4, 2010 - Crime Stoppers has increase the reward money to $5000 for information leading to an arrest in the murder of Sharon Bryant.
FEBRUARY 11, 2010 -- A 50-year-old woman was found dead in her home Tuesday afternoon, and police are hoping a reward can lead to information about the murder.
Sharon Elaine Bryant had not been seen for several days, and family came to her home on South Center Street to check on her. The relatives found Bryant's body in her bed.
Police say she had been dead for several days.
CrimeStoppers is offering up to $3000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) involved in the murder of Sharon Elaine Bryant.
Family members became suspicious when Bryant did not show up for a Super Bowl party. Bryant's daughter, Adrienne Bryant, said her mother doesn’t like football, so it wasn’t surprising that she would skip the party. She told the Herald-Journal, “The only pleasant thing I can say is I’m glad I saw her on Friday. “We talk, but I’m so busy with work, we don’t visit that often. Friday I was able to see her and tell her I love her.”
Police do not think the crime was drug related, and did not release the way Bryant died because it could be crucial to the investigation.
