Greenwood Residents Enjoy Winter Wonderland

»  Comments | Post a Comment

For the first time in a long time, Greenwood resident enjoyed their brush with winter weather.

"Oh man, it's pretty," said one resident. "I like this here."

Another resident responded to a question about how much snowfall they received by saying, "It looks like at my house about five inches."

For most of the Greenwood residents, the snowstorm that struck much of South Carolina did not give them the dusting they usually get. This time it gave them a little bit more. Some residents saw between 2-3 inches of snow, while others saw 4-6 inches. But for many, it was something they could enjoy, even when the sun rose Saturday morning.

Sledding down hills and in some cases, skiing, children and adults alike were outside having fun.

"Heck yeah,' said one young child, who was sledding down a snow covered hill. "We can go backwards and crash. It's fun."

It was all just a matter of fun for all, including some business owners who were having to clean up the snow and get ready to open for business. Though, for most, a Saturday morning turned into a day of where they made the most of being together.

"The best part about it is being together with your family."
