The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating an Armed Robbery and Kidnapping that happened around 10:00 pm Monday night, at the Dollar General store, located at 9538 Augusta Rd.
According to the sheriff's office: Two female employees had closed the business for the evening and were walking to their vehicles in the parking lot when they were approached by two black males.
The two subjects reportedly charged towards the employees from some nearby bushes. One of the employees stated that she attempted to get in the passenger side of her vehicle, but the suspect grabbed her by the shirt collar and jerked her backwards.
The suspects forced the employees back inside the business at gunpoint, and ordered them to open the safe.
The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of money from the safe, which they placed in a Dollar General plastic bag. The suspects then ordered the employees to lay face down on the floor.
The employees heard the suspects exit the business through the front door, and that's when they got up and called the Sheriff's Office.
One of the two suspects was reportedly holding a rifle or shotgun, the other suspect had a handgun. The employees were not seriously injured.
