Greenville County Sheriff deputies are investigating the death of a man found shot in his home. Greenville EMS received a call about 3pm Wednesday from 205 Edgemont Avenue. Two friends found the victim, identified as 28-year-old O'Dalyer Jones, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. They attempted CPR, but were unable to revive him. An autopsy will be performed Thursday to identify the cause of death. Deputies are calling the case a "death investigation".
Investigators are asking for the public's help in the case. Witnesses claimed they spotted a white sedan of unknown make and model, leaving the home at a high rate of speed just before the report of the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
