The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating two armed robberies at two Spinx convenience stores.
The first incident occurred early Wednesday morning at the Spinx convenience store at 3815 White Horse Road. According to Sheriff's Office spokesman Matt Armstrong, two black males entered the business and one approached the counter with a handgun and pointed it at the cashier and demanded money, while the second suspect waited at the front door and ordered customers inside the store to lie on the floor. The two suspects then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The first suspect is described as approximately 5-foot-2 and 150-pounds wearing a red hoodie and bandana over his face. The second suspect is described as six-foot-tall with a slim build, wearing a black hoodie and ski mask.
The second robbery occurred at 3:30 Thursday morning at the Spinx convenience store at 94 Allen Street.
Armstrong says that three men entered the business and two of them approached the counter. One of the men pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the clerk, while the second person demanded a carton of cigarettes. The third suspect reportedly stood by the front door.
The suspects in the robbery are described as black males, between 20-35 years old and approximately six-feet-tall. The suspect who allegedly pointed the gun was wearing a brown hoodie, blue jeans and ski mask, while the second suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a white design on the hood, blue jeans and a white rag on his face. The third suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white t-shirt wrapped on his head and a black rag on his face.
No shots were fired and nobody was injured. Thus far, investigators cannot say if the robberies are connected.
