Steven Ross Hughes, of Anderson, died after being beaten on W. Earl Street Friday.
Officers found Ross dead on the floor at the location.
Andy Steve Roach was arrested and charged with Hughes’ murder shortly after the body was found.
Deputy Coroner Don McCown said Hughes died of blunt force trauma.
