Deputies are trying to find a burglar who is reported to have broken into a home and went through drawers while two women were asleep.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office say it happened early Thursday morning at a home on Sunridge Drive which is southeast of downtown.

The homeowner says she and a friend came into the home around 6:30 a.m. and fell asleep according to the SCSO incident report.

She says she heard a knock on the door around 7:30 a.m., but when she woke up five hours later she found the back glass door was shattered and open.

An intruder came into both bedrooms of the house as the women slept and went through clothing drawers according to the report. Lingerie, some shoes and a dress were taken from the home.

The suspected burglar also went through the laundry room, kitchen and living room.
