Belmont Breeze to Benefit Upstate Charity

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Some of the area's most talented horsemen will show off their skills to help an area charity thrive, Saturday.

The charity is called The Children's Security Blanket.

It's an organization that provides food, lodging and transportation to families who have a child suffering from cancer.

The equestrian rides are a chance for those children to come out and enjoy a family friendly event, all while raising money to help alleviate the financial burden for these families.

"Last year, we spent almost $90,000. And to do that, the community had to come together to support us, and they have. Have to say, everytime we are asked for donations the people have come through and that's what keeps our program alive," said Carol Moeller, with The Children's Security Blanket.

The Belmont Breeze at Spiegal Farms will be Saturday, June 5th.  Spiegal Farms is located on 966 East Frontage Road in Campobello.

At 3:30pm:

The Equine Estravaganza

Featuring olympic quality musical free style dressage, jumping exhibition and pony club quad drill. ($35.00 per entry - general admission)

At 5:00pm

The Belmont Breeze Bash

Follow the horse drawn carriage prominade, watch the Belmont Stakes preview and experience the action of the final race of the Triple Crown. ($100.00 per entry - includes general admission to the Equine Extravaganza)

The event will be held rain or shine.

All proceeds benefit The Children's Security Blanket.
