One man was killed and another critically injured in an early Tuesday morning crash in Belton.
A third passenger received non-life threatening injuries.
Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman said the front passenger, Jeffery Harold Goss Sr., 53, of Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His son, Jeffery Harold Goss Jr., 26, was driving.
Neither men were wearing their seatbelts, Boseman said.
Goss Jr. was thrown from the vehicle when it flipped several times. He was airlifted to Greenville Memorial where reports state he remains in critical condition.
The third person in the vehicle was Bobby Brown, 27. He was wearing a seatbelt
Boseman says speed does appear to be a factor. Brown, who is Goss Sr.’s son-in-law, also said they were at a restaurant before the accident and they had been drinking.
