The third annual Run For Thought was held Saturday morning at Furman University.
Hundreds of people turned out to participate in the 5K run, one mile walk, which is the largest fundraiser held in South Carolina each year by the Brain Injury Alliance of South Carolina. Funds generated by the event go to help the organization assist 61,000 brain injury victims in the state.
This event pulls together local runners, brain injury survivors, families, caregivers, professionals who serve them and many others," said BIASC Executive Director Joyce Davis. "Everyone is able to participate in the event at some level while promoting exercise and brain injury awareness."
