Former Chapman High School student, Chelsey Mitchell, died Monday at home.
Mitchell was injured in a 2007 accident when the car she was driving was hit by an 18-wheeler on the way to church.
Chelsey’s sister Carlyn was killed.
Lauren Trout, Chelsey’s friend was also injured in the accident.
At Chapman High School Monday night, students, teachers and coaches who knew Mitchell expressed sadness over the days events. They say school was somber Monday, among those who knew the teen.
District One Schools issued a statement after the death:
“We extend our prayers and concerns to the Mitchell family.”
