Professors at Wofford College find themselves faced with a delicate decision thanks to the success of their school's basketball team.
When they fill out their brackets, will they go with the odds-on favorite and pick 4th-seeded Wisconsin, or will they go with their hearts and pick the Terriers, a 13 seed?
Like many places of work around the country, the professors at Wofford have a NCAA Tournament office pool. But instead of putting money on the games, the winner of this pool earns the not-so-sought-after prize of getting to host a championship game viewing party for the rest of the pool participants.
"We call it the 'winner loses' pool," said math professor Lee Hagglund, who started the tradition in 1977.
"The best thing to do is to finish second so you have bragging rights but you don't have to host the party," said Dr. Byron McCane, professor of religion.
