Asheville Police continue to investigate the accident that occurred on Long Shoals Road just east of Miami Circle at approximately 3 p.m. on May 10.
Investigators say 16 year old Ashley Johnson was driving a 1998 BMW and was traveling east on Long Shoals Road when it crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Ford truck head-on. The truck, owned by MB Haynes Electric, was traveling west and was driven by Randy James.
