An Army reservist has pleaded guilty to felony drunken driving for a wreck that killed two Allen University students last year.
Multiple media outlets reported that 28-year-old Jabari O. Harding pleaded guilty Thursday to three counts of felony DUI in a plea agreement.
Twenty-year-old Jerry Blandin of Greenville and 18-year-old Candice Davis of Holly Hill died in the wreck near the school in Columbia on Aug. 30, 2009. A third student in their car was seriously injured.
Prosecutors have recommended that Harding serve seven years in prison. Family members want longer sentences. Prosecutor Will Bryant says the facts in the case prompted him to agree to the plea.
Circuit Judge Casey Manning has delayed sentencing.
