Preserving a family's legacy. That's what one local organization does for parents who are battling life threatening illnesses.
"Let There Be Mom" has helped families throughout the upstate.
Their goal is to find ways for loved ones to have something tangible for kids who may be left behind by a sick loved one.
From pictures to fingerprints, they help try to preserve the legacy of mom, dad or guardian living with a life threatening illness.
Founder Kipra Anderson says, "We do spend about three thousand dollars on each family at no cost to the family, so these fund raisers are really important to us."
Anderson, says "Dine Out For Mom" is the one fundraiser that helps the organization the most
Participating restaurants will donate a portion of their profits made for the day.
