Firefighters are still unsure what caused a house fire in Spartanburg County Saturday afternoon.
Investigators say the fire broke out after three in the afternoon at a house on Peach Tree Road.
Don Marking said he banged his neighbor's door down when he saw the blaze. "I ended up breaking the front door down we heard there was animals in there. My son-in-law and I tried to break the front door down to try to get the animals out," Markings said. Marking said one dog ran out of the home.
Summer Hull said several of her neighbor's dogs died in the fire. "Oh it was scary," Hull said.
