Vandalism left paint and racist markings on the field of Boiling Springs High Monday morning, according to a report from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that vandals painted a swastika and the number “11” on the football field; spattered paint on the stadium scoreboard, the fence and the track; piled several chairs, a trashcan and a tarp at midfield; and strung toilet paper around various areas.
Officials discovered the damage after 9:30 Monday morning. The report states the vandalism happened sometime between Sunday at 8 p.m. and Tuesday when they found the vandalism.
The cost of cleaning up the vandalism is unknown at this time.
Cleanup started after the report was filed, deputies stated.
