A Lander University Police Office is charged with a DUI and leaving the scene of an accident after being arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol after they said he hit a car and drove off on Sunday, Sept. 5.
University Police suspended Christopher Haden with pay. Chief Ray Manley said the case is under investigation.
Court officials assigned Haden a $3,267 bond in the case.
On Sept 5th at US 25 Bypass two vehicles were stopped at the US 25 intersection when a 98 Ford traveling west hit one of the stopped vehicles causing it to hit another vehicle in front of it. The driver left the scene. Troopers later caught and charged Haden with leaving the scene and driving under the influence.
