The family of the DOT worker killed in a Wednesday morning accident issued a statement about the victim's death Friday:
We have lost a loving husband, father, grandfather and a treasured friend. He never met a stranger and always had a smile. We miss him more than words can express.
Thank you to all our friends, family and co-workers for your prayers and support during our tragedy. If we can leave one thought with you it is this “When you leave your loved ones each day, remember to say goodbye and I love you…because later you may not be given the opportunity.”

Update April 7, 1:41 p.m.:
The Greenville Police Department's Reconstruction Unit will be closing one lane of Laurens Road near I-85 until about 3:30pm. This will only affect westbound traffic.
Update: April 7th, 12:20pm
Misty Dawson, the woman accused of hitting and killing a department of transportation worker appeared before a judge Thursday morning.
Dawson testified she took prescription medication for nausea and pain before she left work sick from the Bi-Lo cooperate offices. She's charged with felony DUI resulting in death.
The judge set her bond at $25,000.
April 6th
A South Carolina Department of Transportation worker was killed in an accident Wednesday morning on Laurens Road in the city of Greenville.
According to the Greenville Police Department, a vehicle exited from Interstate 85 onto Laurens Road at 9:49 am and struck 60-year old Noah Lark, of Greenville, who was conducting repairs in the roadway. The vehicle then struck the DOT truck that was on the side of the road.
Lark, of Taylors, died Wednesday afternoon at Greenville Memorial Hospital due to blunt force injuries sustained in the wreck.
According to a report from the Greenville Police Department, during the initial investigation officers made observations that led them to believe that the driver of the car, identified as 29-year old Misty Dawn Dawson, of Greenville, was impaired. Dawson was charged with Felony DUI Resulting In Death.
She was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the wreck. She was later released and booked at the Greenville County Detention Center where she is awaiting a bond hearing.
