Two charges of passing a fraudulent check greater than $1,000 were dismissed against Anna Lane Featherston in February.

The 13th Circuit Solicitors Office in Greenville says both warrants were dismissed on February 2 because there was not enough evidence to prove she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The dismissal resolves this case. There are no pending charges against Featherston.

The former owner of a defunct Greenville County business has been arrested 11 months after selling the company.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office arrested Anna Lane Featherston, 39, and charged her with three counts of failure to appear, two counts of passing fraudulents checks less than $500 and one count of passing a fraudulent check greater than $1,000.

Featherston formerly owned Cupcake Couture in Greenville. She filed for bankruptcy in January after she ran into financial problems. She was fined four times by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation for failing to pay employees. She eventually sold the business, which ended up closing.

She is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
