The Greenville County Coroner's Office said the man who died in a crash near Cleveland, was a man in his 30s. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said they arrested Billy Hannah, 33, of Marietta. Troopers said Hannah was driving an SUV north on River Road around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when he vehicle left rhe roadway and plunged into a ravine near Tilley Road.
Investigators saID the passenger was killed, but they have not been able to reach his family.
The driver was treated and released from the hospital. Hannah is charged with Felony DUI Resulting In Death and Leaving The Scene Of an Accident With Death.
He is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
