Spartanburg Public Safety says a man entered the Spartanburg Walmart and swiped $3,000 worth of merchandise from electronics.
Officers say it happened on July 3, at the Walmart on Main Street in Spartanburg.
They say a man came in the store and made his way to the domestic section, where he selected a Bissel vacuum cleaner.
Investigators say he then went to the electronics department and wandered in the area until the associate left. That's when they say he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small tool and popped the lock off of the iPod case.
Police say he then went behind the counter and took several iPods, conceled them in his pants and went to the front of the store to pay for the vacuum.
Store workers say he left the store with the merchanise passing all points of sale.
Spartanburg Public Safety says the man got into a burgandy newer model Nissan, with a spoiler, and chrome wheels and tinted windows.
Police say the man took twelve iPods, totalling the amount of $2,870. They say he was able to break into the case and take all the items in less than two minutes.
