July 7th Update 6:00 a.m.
Greenville County authorities have identified a woman killed in a mobile home fire near Pelzer.
Coroner Tom Selfridge says 67-year-old Martha Linda Peeples lived alone in the home and was unable to escape the flames early Tuesday morning.
South Greenville firefighters found her body in a bedroom of the home.
Peeples was pronounced dead at the scene. Selfridge says an autopsy showed Peeples died from smoke inhalation.
Fire Chief Ken Taylor says the fire ignited by a cigarette started the fire in the bedroom of the home.
July 5th Update
An Upstate woman was found dead after a fire at her mobile home in Pelzer early Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the home at 101 Holly Drive at 12:30 a.m.
The home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Tom Selfridge says Martha Linda Peeples, 67, died of smoke inhalation.
Selfridge say she lived alone.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
