Judge Kevin McDonald set a $25,000 bond Thursday for Randy Lynn Quinn Jr., a former state trooper, indicted for child pornography charges on July 12.
McDonald also says Quinn must be under house arrest and electronic monitoring.
Quinn Jr. was fired from the SC Highway Patrol for what his boss called "improper conduct" in June.
At the time, "7 On Your Side" confirmed the former patrolman was under federal investigation.
Agents from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s office of Homeland Security Investigations visited his home in Cowpens, Spartanburg County, on June 7, ICE officials said.
Quinn Jr., told us in an interview, his computers were seized, but would not say why.
In the indictments, prosecutors say child porn was found on a laptop, desktop and other disks at the home.
Family members say Quinn Jr., has since moved to the Seneca area.
ICE Investigators issued the following statement on the case Tuesday:
This case was investigated as part of ICE’s Operation Predator.
ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents conduct investigations into child pornography as part of Operation Predator, a nationwide ICE HSI initiative to identify, investigate and arrest those who prey on children, including human traffickers, international sex tourists, Internet pornographers, and foreign-national predators whose crimes make them deportable.
ICE encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 1-866-DHS-2ICE. This hotline is staffed around the clock by investigators. Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children may be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an Operation Predator partner, at 1-800-843-5678 or http://www.cybertipline.com.
