Two seperate incidents have Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office officials warning the public about a trio of criminals that are targeting unsuspecting female senior citizens.
The first incident happened on June 28 at the Sam's Club, located on Peachwood Center Drive. According to Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tony Ivey, a black male, a black female and a white female were caught on video targeting a woman.
In the video, Ivey said that the white female distracts the victim, while the black male steals the wallet from the victim's purse. The black female was acting as a lookout in the incident.
On June 29, the same trio struck again, this time at the Target, located on Warren H. Abernathy Highway. The trio managed to duplicate the first incident, however, this time they used the victim's credit card to purchase gift cards.
In the video, the black male is wearing a light colored ball cap, glasses and a bright turquoise short sleeve shirt. The black female has straight and pulled back hair and is wearing glasses and a dark colored sleeveless jumper with floral designs. The white female has dark colored hair pulled to one side and is wearing a light colored top and capri pants.
