The National Retail Federation says the deals may be harder to come by this year, in fact a survey shows more americans will spend above $100.
"Because consumers are a little more comfortable spending these days we won't see the deep deep discounts, we won't see the unplanned promotions," said Kathy Gannis with the NRF.
