A former teacher in Asheville faces up to 70 years in prison and $750,000 in fines after pleading guilty in federal court to producing child pornography.
Former Owen Middle School teacher Kevin Mark, 41, Calloway pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of production of child porn and one count of possession of child porn as part of a plea agreement.
Calloway will remain in custody until he's sentenced. A sentencing date hasn't been set.
An investigator testified last month that Calloway said he exchanged sexually explicit texts and videos with students and former students for years. Court documents say he admitted to recording videos of students' genitals as they urinated in the school bathroom.

Kevin Calloway, a 6th grade math and science teacher at Owen Middle School, was suspended. Officials with the Buncombe County School district and Buncombe County Sheriff’s office had a joint investigation into Mr. Calloway.
Calloway was arrested on February 1 for indecent liberties with a student which is a felony. He was then dismissed permanently from the school. His bond has been set for $10,000 and will go before a judge sometime Thursday morning.
Mr. Calloway, who has taught at Owen Middle since 1999, was questioned by school administrators several weeks ago following a parent call which prompted an internal investigation at the school.
That internal investigation was inconclusive, so no further action was taken by the school at that time. The Superintendent's office is reviewing whether the school followed correct protocol in their handling of the matter. Pending the outcome of that review, the principal has been placed on leave.
