Officials say there is an open internal affairs investigation into the collision involving an Oconee County deputy.
Deputy McGuffin is not on any sort of leave and the investigation continues.

Troopers ticketed Oconee County Deputy Robert McGuffin with driving too fast for conditions, after he hit an SUV Tuesday morning, causing a 3 car crash on US 123 in Westminster.
Troopers say McGuffin ran into an SUV around 8:30am. That caused the SUV to to hit a Chevrolet truck, which was stopped to make a left turn.
The truck driver was not hurt, but two people in the SUV were. Adam and Janice Baker, were taken to the hospital
Chief Deputy Terry Wilson says McGuffin is a deputy at the Walhalla Courthouse.
Wilson says McGuffin told him, he was blinded by the bright sun. Wilson would not say whether McGuffin would face any disciplinary action.
