The Asheville Police Department is asking for your help solving a series of break-ins.

Investigators think the six incidents that took place since January 6 in downtown Asheville and Merrimon Ave corridor are all connected.

Officials say each break-in has similar characteristics where a suspect throws something through a window and takes off with a cash register or tip jar.

He is described as a white male standing between 5'8" and 5'11"in his early 20's with a thin build wearing a hooded jacket and baggy pants.

The last reported break-in happened Thursday night at the House of Fabric on Merrimon Avenue.  Someone saw it take place and followed the suspect to Hillside Street when the man got away.

Other break-ins include:

Metro Chinese on Merrimon Ave. on January 19
Octopus Garden on Merrimon Ave on January 18
Wonderland on Patton Avenue on January 16
Instant Karma on Lexington Avenue on January 10
Wall Street Coffee House on Wall Street on January 6

If you have any information that may help police find this man, call Crimestoppers at 255-5050.
