The South Carolina Highway Patrol attempted to pull over a vehicle on Friday night at Laurens Road in Greenville County. Troopers say that the vehicle was a 2011 Mazda that was being pulled over for a violation that had occurred earlier. When troopers attempted to pull over the vehicle it did not stop.. a short pursuit then took place. The 3-4 minute chased ended when the vehicle collided into a tree on Carolina Ave.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office the vehicle left the road, went into the yard of a home, hit a tree, then rolled over.
Two people were taken to the hospital by EMS. One person was admitted into the hospital and the other was released. We do not know the condition of the victim still in the hospital.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the collision.
