Anderson University is talking about establish a downtown criminal justice center. This would include college classes, an emergency operations center and possibly a police laboratory. Anderson Independent says The Criminal Justice Center of Excellence would be in the former Duke Energy administrative building at the corner of Murray Avenue and Bleckley Street in Anderson.
The university took ownership of the building last fall, under the terms of a gift-and-sale arrangement with the company.
