A 15-year-old has been charged by Seneca police after they say the juvenile had a gun on school property Monday.

The student is charged with disturbing school and possession of a firearm on school property at the Code Academy alternative school according to our coverage partners at the Anderson Independent.

The paper says the student ran from school before officials got there, prompting a manhunt for the armed student.

The juvenile was later found and taken into custody around 11 a.m. getting off a public bus and was chased through several businesses.
