Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson says a grease fire in the kitchen caused this fire to spread to the rest of the house.

A disabled woman was rescued by a firefighter and a relative after being trapped inside her home by a fire Tuesday night.
The fire happened at a residence on East Wood Street in Anderson County.
Seven On Your Side has learned that the Assistant Fire Chief at Broadway Fire Department and a relative of the unidentified woman found her lying on the floor to her home after it had caught fire. They managed to rescue the woman from inside the home and take her to safety before it was too late.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and battled the blaze. The home was heavily damaged by the fire, said Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson.
Gibson said the American Red Cross has been called to assist the woman. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
