A fire destroyed a family's house in Liberty Tuesday night.
Fire Chief Mike Sargent says firefighters from Liberty Fire Department responded to the call at 235 Branchwood Drive just before 9:30 pm.
When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the home.
Chief Sargent said the flames started on the back deck then spread to a gas grill. The family escaped out the front door unharmed.
Firefighters are still unable to determine the cause of the fire, and they say they may not be able to because of the extent of the damage.
The fire has been ruled accidental.
