A Gaffney man was sentenced to 20-years in prison for an armed hold-up.
Brion D. Makupson, 19, pleaded guilty to robbing a woman who was trying to make a night deposit at an Upstate bank in May of last year.
He must serve 80 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for release.
“Brion Makupson has plenty of time behind bars to think about the consequences of his pathetic actions,” Assistant Solicitor Matt Kendall said. “I also want to congratulate the Gaffney Police Department on a job well-done.”
Makupson was caught after investigators noticed he placed his hand on the hood of the victim's car. They were able to match the fingerprints.
