Traffic was blocked on I-85 northbound in Greenville due to crash Friday afternoon. The SC Highway Patrol reported the accident at the 48 mile marker around 12:30 p.m.
Investigators say the wreck involved three vehicles; a Ford pickup and two tractor trailers. The driver of the truck stopped for a mattress that was in the middle lane. The 18-wheelers swerved to miss the truck. One big rig, driven by Donald Morgan, hit the other tractor trailer and then clipped the mirror of the truck.
Morgan was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
