An urn containing ashes found at an Upstate car wash, is now in the hands of the family member who accidentally left it there.
A local pastor says one of his church members found the box of cremains Wednesday, while washing his car at the Splash-N-Dash on Highway 9 in Inman.
The box contained the ashes of Kenneth Douglas Wilson, a Tennessee man who died in 1998.
The Spartanburg County Coroner located the local family members after contacting the funeral home in Tennessee that handled Wilson's memorial service 13 years ago.
The coroner says a family member accidentally left the box at the carwash and is embarrassed by the mistake, and didn't want to be identified.
But the cremains are now in the right hands. The coroner turned them over to Wilson's family this morning.
