Upward Bound Programs Held To Help Students

The University of South Carolina Upstate Upward Bound Program, along with the USC Upstate Financial Aid Department and the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, continues the annual financial aid support campaign with two College Goal South Carolina workshops in the Upstate.

The workshops are designed to provide financial aid information and to assist in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Students will be were able to receive one-on-one instruction and guidance at any of the workshops, which were free and open to the public. One workshop was held on Saturday it was held at the Gaffney Branch of Spartanburg Community College University of South Carolina Upstate. It was held in the Health Education .

Another workshop will be held at the Gaffney Branch of Spartanburg Community College on February 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants need to bring a social security number, W-2 forms from the previous year, and parent’s most recent federal Income tax returns. College Goal South Carolina is a volunteer effort by the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the South Carolina Commission of Higher Education, and the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation in cooperation with the University of South Carolina Upstate. Students need to pre-register for the event at www.collegegoalsc.org to be entered to win a free iPad and to receive a free t-shirt.
