An Upstate man was arrested for being part of a series of vehicle thefts.
Spartanburg County officials say they arrested 26-year-old Chet Eric Gayle. Investigators say Gayle was involved in at least half a dozen thefts targeting 1990's model Honda Accords over the past few months.
Gayle is charged with three counts of petit larceny, three counts of receiving stolen goods, six counts of possession of a vehicle with an altered ID/Chop shop and one count of grand larceny.
He is being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center under a $26,000 bond.
The investigation continues and more charges are possible.
